The Sector Deep originated as a challenge to ourselves - we asked, “How overbuilt and robust can we make this watch?” The case was meticulously re-engineered, the crystal and caseback were dramatically thickened, and the dial and hands were redesigned to achieve nuclear-level luminescence and supreme legibility. This led to the creation of an oversized tactile bezel with dual functionality. At its core, the Sector Deep is a tool watch that has rapidly developed a dedicated following.

This next evolution takes the above concept a few steps further while staying true to the original Sector Deep’s ethos. The outcome is the Sector Deep Pioneer - a GMT-equipped Sector Deep featuring a new eight-point compass ring for orienting yourself wherever you are. Our most functional watch to date is overloaded with information while remaining legible and easy to use, and it is ready to take on any adventure.

    The Sector Deep Pioneer’s eight-point compass is a classic field complication that offers a foolproof method for orienting yourself, no matter which hemisphere you find yourself in.

    Northern Hemisphere:

    To transform your watch into a reliable compass, keep the watch dial level and rotate it until the hour hand is pointing toward the sun. The midpoint between the hour hand and the 12 o’clock position reveals the direction of South. Rotate the bezel until the South aligns with this point, and you’ll have the headings at your fingertips. If it's Daylight Saving Time, use 1 o’clock instead of 12 o’clock as your initial reference point.

    Southern Hemisphere:

    Here, the technique shifts slightly. Point the 12 o’clock mark toward the sun, and the midpoint between this mark and the hour hand will guide you to North. Adjust the bezel so that North aligns with this spot, and you'll have a clear sense of direction.
